| REPERTOIRE |
The Trombone Quartet its music can be divided into two categories. On the one hand you can find the classical music, where original compositions and arrangements of classical works complete one another. Famous composers who have been writing original compositions especially for trombone are Speer, Beethoven and Bruckner. But also arrangements of Palestrina, Bach, Gershwin en Joplin are an welcome addition to our repertoire. These works often offer a great challenge to the musicians, as well as to the audience. On the other hand a large scale of entertaining music is being composed especially for Trombone Quartet. Composers like Tanner, Wood, Luis and Stone are probably unknown; n evert heless their compositions are well-considered and original, and therefore not unpopular. Likewise these composers are being inspired by great pop stars as well, which enlarges the recognition of their music. Trough the diversity of musical styles it appears that the phenomenon Trombone Quartet and its music receives more and more attention nowadays. In the past the Quispel Trombone Quartet has been giving concerts in cooperation with Symphonic Wind Orchestra's, Brass Ensembles and Choirs, and has also been invited to open various exhibitions. From our point of view we will definitely invite other ensembles to cooperate and support us in our concerts and future performances. Repertoirelist Quispel Trombonequartet: |
